The analysis of Quranic verses, such as كلا منهما رغدا, necessitates the establishment of scientific laboratories. These laboratories, by examining food substances and their effects, can transform Quranic concepts into practical solutions.
Religious science must collaborate with global scientists, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to academically analyse the Quranic verses. Such cooperation, devoid of religious bias, aids in reviving the status of the Holy Quran as a scientific source.
Stinginess in sharing Quranic knowledge with the world impedes scientific progress and the utilisation of the verses. The Holy Quran, as a human book, must be accessible to all scholars to realise its capacities.
Historical and political constraints have obstructed the scientific activities of religious scholars and the utilisation of Quranic verses. These limitations are the result of scientific disarmament by tyrants and colonial powers, which deprived religious science of producing operational knowledge.
Religious science must become self-sufficient and engage in knowledge production and verse analysis independently. The establishment of laboratories and attracting scholars are steps towards this self-sufficiency.
Transformation in religious science begins with small actions, such as founding scientific laboratories. These initial steps, if accompanied by planning and continuity, lead to significant changes.
The Holy Quran, as a human and scientific book, must be analysed in global academic centres. Critiquing formalistic interpretations, the necessity of Quranic laboratories, collaboration with scientists, and self-sufficiency in religious science provide a framework for reviving the scientific status of the Quran. This section emphasises the importance of transformation in religious science and utilising Quranic verses for knowledge and wealth production.
The Holy Quran addresses the heavens and the earth in more than seven hundred verses, elucidating the cosmic system with unparalleled complexity and depth. These verses, beyond mental discourses, are intertwined with empirical sciences and cosmology and require an interdisciplinary approach.
The cosmic system in the Holy Quran is described as a harmonious and dynamic arrangement, wherein the celestial bodies float like balanced seeds in their orbits.
كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (Surah Yaseen, Verse 40)
Translation: Each one glides in an orbit.
This verse refers to the dynamic and floating movement of celestial bodies in defined orbits. The word يَسْبَحُونَ signifies the dynamism and continual change within the cosmic system, consistent with modern cosmological findings.
Traditional concepts, such as imagining the universe as a stitched composite, are inconsistent with scientific and Quranic realities. The universe consists of the coexistence and harmonious arrangement of particles, not a composite like yoghurt and syrup.
Verse 30 of Surah Al-Anbiya refers to the processes of reteq and fataq in creation.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا (Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 30)
Translation: Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one unit, and We parted them?
Reteq refers to the primordial state of the universe as molten and compressed matter, whereas fataq denotes the opening and formation of celestial bodies and the cosmic system. This process has evolved over long periods.
Verse 30 of Surah Al-Anbiya highlights the role of water in life.
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ (Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 30)
Translation: And We made from water every living thing.
This verse, emphasising the fundamental role of water in life, aligns with modern biological discoveries and underscores the material and scientific meaning of m (water).
The Ptolemaic astronomy, which imagined the heavens as onion-like layers, contradicts scientific and Quranic facts. The Holy Quran describes the cosmic system as an infinite sea of particles and harmonious arrangements.
The cosmic verses of the Holy Quran, elucidating the creation system and the processes of reteq and fataq, provide a scientific framework for understanding the universe. These verses, emphasising the harmonious arrangement of celestial bodies and the role of water in life, highlight the necessity of interdisciplinary analysis and revision of traditional concepts.
Due to its comprehensiveness and ability to nurture all entitiesfrom stone and petroleum to humans and invisible beings such as angels and jinnEarth holds a central position in the creation system.
Verse 1 of Surah Al-Qadr refers to the divine descent upon Earth.
إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ (Surah Al-Qadr, Verse 1)
Translation: Indeed, We sent it down on the Night of Decree.
This verse presents Earth as a platform for the manifestation of divine wisdom.
No scientific evidence exists for the presence of a being more civilised than humans on other celestial bodies. This fact indicates the greatness of humanity within the creation system.
Traditional interpretations that claim the children of Adam married jinn or siblings are incorrect. Humans are the result of a complex evolution from previous beings such as nasns.
Earth, due to its comprehensiveness and the presence of humans, holds a central position in the creation system. Humans are the outcome of a complex evolution, with no being more civilised than them identified. This section stresses the necessity of revising traditional interpretations and scientifically analysing the position of Earth and humans.
Knowledge of the Lord begins with the attributes of action (creation) and proceeds to descriptive, intrinsic attributes, and ultimately to the divine essence. This journey resembles a voyage from Earth to the boundless heavens, guiding humans towards transcendent truths.
Verse 54 of Surah Al-Arf refers to the Throne and the real levels of the universe.
عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَى (Surah Al-Arf, Verse 54)
Translation: He established Himself above the Throne.
The Throne, the Tablet, and the Pen are real levels of the universe that require scientific investigation, not metaphorical or allegorical concepts.
Metaphorical interpretations of the Throne and the Tablet are incompatible with the actual nature of these concepts. The Holy Quran presents these levels as real cosmic entities.
Religious science must investigate concepts such as the Throne and the Tablet as cosmic realities and not delegate these matters to Western sciences.
Divine epistemology directs humans from the knowledge of creation towards the essence of the Lord. The Throne and the levels of the universe are cosmic realities that require scientific scrutiny. Religious science, by researching these concepts, plays a pivotal role in elucidating Quranic truths.
The Holy Quran, through verses such as 34 to 38 of Surah Al-Baqarah and other cosmic verses, has precisely and wisely explained the system of creation. These verses clarify the position of humans, Satan, and Earth within an evolutionary and operational framework. Freedom in consuming blessings and avoidance of lethal factors provide a model for healthy living. The tree, as a symbol of lethal factors, requires scientific analysis. The cosmic system of the Holy Quran consists of a harmonious and dynamic arrangement that aligns with modern sciences. Earth, due to its comprehensiveness and the presence of humans, is the axis of creation. Religious science, through establishing laboratories, collaborating with global scientists, and achieving self-sufficiency, must transform Quranic verses into practical solutions. This treatise, with emphasis on deathology, nutrition, and empirical analysis, offers a framework for advanced research in Islamic cosmology, philosophy of creation, and the scientific interpretation of the Holy Quran.
